Who is responsible
Marc Albrecht, trading as TickGrade, resident in Colombia, is responsible for your personal data. Contact: support@tickgrade.com.
What stays on your computer
Your tick data, your backtest data, your Expert Advisors and your broker password stay on your own PC. The service has no way to receive them.
What we collect and why
- Account: your email address, and your password stored only as a one-way hash (or, if you sign in with Google or another provider, the provider's id for you). To run your account and contact you about it.
- Paired computers: the name you give each computer, its app version, a public key and a one-way installation fingerprint, and when it last checked in. To license the agent and let you remove a computer.
- Certificates: for each certificate the agent reports - the terminal build, the symbol and date range, one-way fingerprints of the data source and symbol, and summary counts (days, sessions, gaps). Never the ticks themselves, and never your account number in readable form. To issue and verify the certificate.
- Billing: handled by our payment processor. We store its customer and subscription ids and your plan status. We never see your full card number.
- Security log: what was done on the account and when, with your IP address stored only as a keyed one-way digest. To detect and investigate misuse.
- Support messages: to answer them.
- Early-access list: if you ask us to tell you when TickGrade opens, your email, your name if you give it and what you picked on the form, stored encrypted, used only to send you that one message. Where you arrived from (campaign labels in the link) is kept with it, to know which of our posts and adverts work. No third-party tracking cookies.
- Website visits: our website host counts page views without cookies (Cloudflare Web Analytics): the page, the referring site, the browser type and the country. It does not identify you or follow you to other sites. To know which pages people read.
Who else processes it
Our payment processor (billing), our hosting provider (the service's servers), our email provider (to deliver the account messages we send you), our website host (the site and the early-access list) and, if you use it, the sign-in provider you chose. Each only for the purpose above. Your data may be processed outside your country, including in the European Union and the United States.
How long
- Account, paired computers and certificates: until you delete your account.
- Billing records: as long as tax law requires (in Colombia up to 10 years); these are held by our payment processor and in our accounts, not in the service.
- Security log: 12 months. After you delete your account it contains only random ids that no longer point to you.
- Support messages: 2 years.
- Early-access list: until 12 months after TickGrade opens, or earlier when you ask us to delete it.
Deleting your account
In the account settings you can delete your account yourself. Your account, paired computers, sessions, subscription record and certificates are erased at once. If a paid subscription is still running, cancel it first so that you are not charged for a service you can no longer use.
Your rights
You may ask to know, correct, update or delete your data and withdraw consent (Colombia: Ley 1581 de 2012 and Decreto 1377 de 2013; complaints to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio). If you live in the EU or UK you also have the GDPR rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and may complain to your data-protection authority. Write to support@tickgrade.com; we answer within 15 business days.
