How it works
Read
The Windows app reads the tick history of the MT5 terminal you are already logged in to. It never places a trade and never asks for your broker password.
Grade
Every day is checked against the broker's trading session: gaps, out-of-session ticks, clock problems. Nothing is filled, smoothed or invented. A gap stays a gap.
Certify
A second, independent download must return exactly the same ticks. Only continuous ranges where both agree become a certified batch you can test on.
Test
One click runs your EA in the official MT5 Strategy Tester on the certified ticks, and checks afterwards that the tester used exactly those ticks and nothing else.
Why traders use it
Your data stays on your PC
Ticks, EA files and your broker password never leave your computer. The service only sees fingerprints and counts.
Real ticks, not generated ones
The report is accepted only when MetaTrader confirms every-tick-based-on-real-ticks mode and the tick count matches the certified batch.
Reproducible
Run the same test on the same batch again and you get the same report, byte for byte. We measured it.
Honest about limits
Your broker decides how much history it keeps. TickGrade shows what is there and what is missing; it cannot create ticks the broker did not store.

Questions
What do I need?
Windows 10 or 11 and MetaTrader 5 logged in to your broker, with the password saved. The app works with the terminal you already have.
Does it work with every broker?
It reads any MT5 broker's history. A day can only be graded against a broker's trading sessions once that broker, server and symbol have a reviewed session calendar. We add calendars broker by broker; tell us yours in the form.
What about MetaTrader 4?
MT4 is limited: its tester cannot use millisecond times or historical variable spreads. We will say exactly what an MT4 run can and cannot show before you use it.
Does it trade on my account?
No. It only reads history. Tests run in MetaTrader's own Strategy Tester, which simulates trades and never sends an order to your broker.
Is it a data vendor?
No. You use the data your own broker account already gives you, under your broker's terms. We do not sell or share market data.
